Information on ETHIOPIAN Airlines Pilot training school
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Total cost of the training is 68,000(USD Sixty Eight Thousand). This fee covers for;

Ø Pocket money 1200 Ethiopian Birr per month
Ø Routine medical expense (non chronic illness)
Ø Accident insurance
Ø School’s uniform
Ø Laundry for such uniform
Ø Training material

Requirement to enroll

Ø High School complete with good results in
a. English
b. Mathematics
c. Physics / General Science
Ø Conversant in the English language or else attend a special pre-course aviation English language class conducted at our center for a period of 4 to 6 months, at additional charge (USD 3,000.00).
Ø First class medical fitness certification from Aviation medical doctor (candidates will be re-checked at Ethiopian Airlines facility)
Ø Achieving good result in technical aptitude test conducted by the training center.

Preference

Ø Age limit between 18 and 25 years
Ø At least 165 cm tall
Ø Enrolment will be during first week of July, & Oct, 08; Jan, & Apr, 09.

Duration of Training and conducted trainings

Ø 18 Months
Ø 1400 Hrs Ground school
Ø 40 Hrs Flight on Synthetic trainer
Ø 200 Hrs Flight training

After Successful completion of the course and passing Ethiopian Civil aviation authority written exam, students will be awarded with Diploma, wing and Commercial Pilot License with Instrument and Multi-Engine ratings compatible to FAA, ICAO or JAR.

ETHIOPIAN shall have no obligation either to employ or find job placement on completion or earlier termination of the training
